How is my provider paid?

Should I pay my provider directly?

Helpr will take care of all payments to your provider for bookings made in the Helpr app, so no need to pay your provider directly for work that was booked through this service.

When and how will my provider be paid?

Providers will set up an account with Helpr and will use our payment system through Stripe. We'll send them an email with instructions for getting set up once they've been approved.

Due to Stripe policy, first-time payments to new users are placed under a 7-business-day hold. We appreciate your patience and understanding of this policy.

Each accepted booking is billed and payment sent to the provider within three business days of the booking being complete. This allows for time to adjust the details of the booking after care if needed. After the first payment has cleared, payments take up two business days to be processed by their bank.

In order to receive their payment at this cadence, providers must have accepted your booking request by 24 hours after the end of care. Bookings accepted by providers after this time may experience delays in payment.

How is my copay determined?

Your copay is determined by your area, your benefit plan, and your provider's rate when you enter it into the app. We cover the rest of your provider's hourly rate.

For example, if your provider's rate is $15/hour, and let's say your copay is $5/hour, then you would be billed for the $5/hr and we would cover your provider the other $10/hour so your provider would be paid their full $15 hourly rate.
